Exam Preparation courses

IELTS Preparation course

This is a 4-week, 100-hour course designed to help students prepare to take the IELTS exam.

The minimum level required to attend the course is upper intermediate (B2).

Starting dates 2008

• 23 June — 18 July
• 21 July — 15 August
• 22 September — 17 October
• 20 October — 14 November

Students must reserve the course at least 2 weeks before the start date, preferably sooner as places are limited. A minimum of 4 students is required for the course to run.

 

Cambridge exam preparation courses

These courses consist of 20 hours tuition per week for 10 weeks. IH Belfast offers Cambridge exam preparation courses at three levels: First Certificate (FCE), Advanced (CAE) and Proficiency (CPE). Students will be advised which level to take on arrival.

Starting dates 2008 :

• March 31
• September 29

The exams themselves will be held at the end of the course (starting June 10 and December 6).

 

TOEIC preparation course

This is a 2-week exam preparation course consisting of 20 hours tuition per week.

The minimum level required to attend the course is intermediate (B1+).

Starting dates 2008 :

• January 21
• May 12
• September 15
• November 17

Holidays 2008

The school will be closed for public holidays on the following dates:

1 January; 17, 21 and 24 March; 5 and 26 May; 14 July; 25 August; 25 and 26 December.

Please note that classes lost on the public holidays listed above cannot be made up at other times.
