The University's Halls of residence – Queen's Elms – are situated in pleasant parkland, in a quiet residential area on the south side of the city. Being on a large site, well away from the main road there is a spaciousness and calmness which generates a feeling of being far from city life, even though Queen's Elms are less than 20 minutes walking distance from the University area.

It is also close to the Lisburn Road, which is a vibrant street, with shops, cafés and restaurants. For the fun-loving student, it is ideally located less than 20 minutes walking distance from Botanic Avenue, which is a student hotspot.

All bedrooms have full access to kitchen facilities. The kitchens are fully equipped and shared by 10-11 students.
Each hall has a comfortable common room where students can relax and chat with other students.

Bedrooms are serviced with bed linen and towels weekly. Fully-equipped laundry facilities are provided in each hall. Students can buy a token whenever they wish to do their laundry.

All rooms are WIFI enabled and have a private bathroom.

For a small extra fee, you can buy breakfast and eat in the University cafeteria.

They have a 24 hour reception desk so the students can arrive at any time of the day or night to check in.

Directions for students

From IH Belfast, walk to Queens University and turn left. If you keep walking for approximately 20 minutes, you will reach Elms Village. You can also take the bus which stops in front of Queens University.
